How strap locks for this guitar?
I have this guitar and http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_gibson_les_paul_vintage_mahogany_electric_guitar?full_sku=102771409 Strap Locks http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/Schaller-Strap-Locks-and-Buttons-Pair-?full_sku=100284464 these think that they must accept that the nut is already there Belt and replace the screw? im not sure though. Please help.
Easy. 1) Remove the existing strap buttons replaced with Straplock. Be careful to tighten the screws to prevent removal of the holes. 2) Place the lock on the belt … take the nut and washer off U-shaped part, slide the threaded until the end of the strap (where it attaches to the guitar), then go back and tighten the nut from above. Make sure the open end of the lock is focused the center of the belt. I personally would never allow the Guitar Center Techs touch one of my guitars … ever.
